I know this has been a rough year for us all and things haven't gone the way we had expected them to. We set out the year of 2020 with goals and plans and then Covid-19 hit and turned all that upside down. I think it was Mike Tyson that said, "Everyone's got a plan until they get punched in the mouth." Well we got punched in the mouth and had to make some adjustments to our goals and plans. Some adjustments were small and we were able to keep moving forward. Some adjustments we large and required a lot of reworking and rethinking or creating a brand new plan, then we could move forward.

I am here to encourage you that no matter what the adjustments were that you had to make, Don't Stop. It is worth the effort. I have seen a bunch large companies make adjustments pretty quick so that they don't loose their progress or profits. They took some time, evaluated the situation, and came up with a solution to keep their business going. The funny thing is, that for some of these companies, this new adjustment changed their business model. This change that started off a temporary is now permanent. They have realized that their employees are just as, if not more productive, working from home. Also, by working from home, they are able to reduce overhead, which saves the company money. We all know that profitability it the overall corporate goal.
You should have been or should be able to do the same for your business. There are some adjustments to your plan that can be made and implemented and still allow you to move forward with your goals and dreams. During this time I have still seen businesses start up they just had to change their way of doing it. For food service, take out and delivery only; for in person services, more sanitizing to protect them and their customer; for retail, online only; for personal development, virtual engagements or starting blogs and/or podcasts; I have even seen people take advantage of this new way of doing business and start a delivery service business. The opportunities are out there. Better yet, YOUR opportunity is out there, you just have to find it and pursue it. There are ways to get yourself going and maintaining but it may not be easy and it may not look the way you wanted it to but don't give up on it. If you stay consistent and work with you goal in mind you can continue to press.

We always hear motivational speakers ask the question, "What is your WHY?" What is your motivation for doing what your are doing? Can I make a suggestion, don't make the main focus money. If that is your focus then you will stop when it doesn't produce they way you expect it to. But, if your why is bigger than that, like family legacy, helping people mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually or fulfilling a dream, you will keep pressing. It's not about the money, it's personal. This is also helpful when you don't always have the support you expect either. You are driven by your desire, your WHY, so it doesn't matter what others say or think.
DON'T STOP!! IT IS WORTH THE EFFORT!!
