We all have things that we “fear” or a better way to say it is “makes us uncomfortable”. The one that we should not be uncomfortable with is the path that you are on. You are on this path based on all the decisions you have made in your life. These decisions have made you the person that you are, and you should be very happy and proud of where you are. You may not be where you thought you would be where you want to be, but it is where you are. While on this path we have made good and not so good decisions, but they were our decisions. We have to own those decisions whether we liked them or not. I am saying this because part of not fearing our path is to understand that where we are is where we put ourselves. It is not because of anyone else or but ourselves. We are in control of what we do, how we do it and where we do it. Although someone may try and do something against us, we are responsible for how we react to it. We are in control of those things. This is why we should not be fear the path we are on, we did it.

Now that we understand that we are responsible for where we are right now, we also have to understand that we are in control of where we are going to be in the future. Our path to our will be based on the decisions that we make from this point forward. What determines the path that take? It should be based on our goals/dreams. The things that we have written down that we said we wanted to do, should guide the decisions that we make. We need to keep those things in the front of our minds, what and where we want to be. If the decisions that we are making don’t line up the path we have set, we need to adjust them. This is why we shouldn’t fear our path, because we are creating it. Don’t always take the easy path. Some decisions will be hard but they will be worth it. No, fear, just progress.

Now, if you are not sure of what your path may be, I will tell you to go to the creator of life. Pray about it and read His Word. The scripture says in Jeremiah 29:11-13, “11) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12) Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13) You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”. What this is basically saying is that, seek me and I will show you the way. I know what I have put in you and show you the way. God is looking for you to understand what gifts He has placed in you and what you can do with them. The best feeling when you realize what those gifts are and what path you should be taking. When your plans line up with God’s plan, that is a recipe for success.
Don’t fear your path. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear is not naturally given to us. Resist it and press on be “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13). Don’t fear. Be uncomfortable, but continue to press through.
